Route calls to voicemail when no one is available

If someone calls an extension of your company and if no one answers, the call is routed after a certain amount of ringtones to to your default extension. So if you need want to route your customers or callers to a mailbox it is enough to change the external routing of your default extension.

In routing step 1 we recommend to ring a few of your phones for 25-45 seconds and then in routing step 2 you can route the call to a mailbox.

Route calls to voicemail at a give time or day of the week

By using the Mixbx's timebased routing features you can define when a mailbox should be active. On the screenshot below you see a standard case where we redirect all calls fro Monday to Friday, from 18:00 to 08:00 and during weekends to an extension named outofoffice.

We adapted the routing of the extension outofoffice to play an voice prompt which defines our office hours, and then we forward the call to a mailbox.
