Console network configuration

By default the Mixpbx is configured to get the IP address via DHCP. But in some scenarios system administrators need to change the network parameters manually so they can later use the centralised webinterface or the local webinterface to continue with the more advanced settings.

Every Mixpbx has a username network and password network. This username can not be used to access the Mixpbx remotely, the only allowed access is via an attached screen and keyboard. This limited access can be used for the following tasks:

  • Configure IP address, gateway, netmask
  • Configure the DNS servers
  • Reset the passwords to the default password "pbx"
